FIRST AID CPR AED
The Basic First Aid course helps students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. This first aid training program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA and ARC Guidelines Update for First Aid.
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT
The BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
ADVANCED CARDIAC LIFE SUPPORT
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) builds on the foundation of Basic Life Support (BLS), emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. The hands-on instruction and simulated cases in this advanced course are designed to help enhance their skills in the recognition and intervention of cardiopulmonary arrest immediate post-cardiac arrest, acute arrhythmia, stroke, and acute coronary syndromes.
PEDIATRIC ADVANCED LIFE SUPPORT
This classroom, Instructor-led course uses a series of videos and simulated pediatric emergencies to reinforce the important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, effective resuscitation, and team dynamics. The goal of the PALS Course is to improve the quality of care provided to seriously ill or injured children, resulting in improved outcomes.
AWARD IN INTRODUCTION TO PHLEBOTOMY
This course trains students to draw blood samples from patients with minimum pain and discomfort and prepare specimens for medical examination
AWARD IN INTRODUCTION TO HEALTH AND SOCIAL CARE
The qualification is aimed at learners gaining knowledge relevant to working in the health and social care sector. This qualification will be aimed at learners interested in a career in health and social care, which may include young people in school or college, people who are unemployed and looking for a career in health and/or social care or people undergoing preemployment training. The units and qualification will allow learners to gain relevant basic knowledge and understanding of working in the health and social care sector and will allow for provide opportunities for progression onto future Level 2 qualifications.
STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICAL COURSE
Course will provide the essential skills required to work in a Hospital Central Sterile Supply Department
EMERGENCY MEDICAL RESPONSE
Course prepares the student to provide pre-hospital assessment and care for patients of all ages with a variety of medical conditions and traumatic injuries. Areas of study include an introduction to emergency medical services systems, roles and responsibilities of EMRs, anatomy and physiology, medical emergencies, trauma, and special considerations for working in the pre-hospital setting.
DIPLOMA IN CARE
This qualification is vocationally based and as such, offers the opportunity for learners to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and practical skills required to be an Adult Care Worker in an adult care setting or a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker/Personal Assistant in a healthcare support environment.
INSTRUCTOR COURSES
The Instructor Development Course was created to train individuals as authorized instructors for American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) branded emergency care training programs. Using a blended training approach, the IDC combines an initial online learning session to develop cognitive understanding, followed by a single-day, in-person classroom session for developing and practicing instructional skills.
